Lightweight (uninsulated for those who sit out winter) gloves is one area where I am very picky, as I want them to fit like a glove.  Luckily, I have no complaints on the Lee Parks DeerSports.  My black pair is over three years old and crash-tested (wet pavement just scuffed them a bit).

Unfortunately, despite being soaked countless times and being visibly sun-faded, they leave black dye on you any time you sweat.  So I bought the same thing in a discontinued gold color at a clearance price.

Yes, they show dirt.

Anyway, I don't want funny colors or plastic bits, just something that will cover my hand and wrist (and stay there in a crash) while providing good feel and protection.  These work for me.

What's on your hands?

SHIFT Hybrid Delta. These are cross between MX and Street gloves with leather and textile. I love them for the summer.

Firstgear Mesh-Tex 2.0 Gloves.

They do me well. I also have jacket and pants from Firstgear.

I have Joe Rocket Big Bang gloves.  After the first night, and getting caught in a down pour, my hands were black.  I soaked them in warm water for a few hours, rinsed and soaked again.   That seems to have done the trick for keeping them from bleeding.

Unfortunately, I seem to be in between a L and XL, so they  are a little looser in the fingers than I'd like.

What about gloves with gel inserted in them are they any better ?

I've hears some folk complain about them and some rave . Here are the gloves i use for high altitudes , they are great ,keep you warm and wind proof , got them from REI last year , the name of the brand is Novara (these will do great riding too)
