2002 NH750
« on: June 02, 2014, 02:11:50 PM »
I've had her about 4 years, bought it from a 'retired' 74 year-old rider who purchased it new.  Mods include: Shoei FM2 faring, SuperBrace, Corbin seat, Progressive 412 rear shocks, Galfer S/S brake line, EBC HH pads.  Just change the oil and lube the chain and she should go for quite a while.  In the San Francisco Bay Area.

Wow, that seat looks a lot lower than stock.  True?  I need an inch or so off my seat and it's not comfortable after riding for a 1000 miles.

Yes, the Corbin seat is lower than stock, by about 1".  I got it just for that reason...I'm 5'7", with a 30" inseam and still can't flat-foot both feet with boots on....but good enough.  And Oh, I can't think of much that would be comfortable after 1,000 miles!  eek1

I am 5'5 on a stock seat so you can see my predicament :).  My rear shocks must be lower or the PO shaved off the existing seat because if I can lower it just another inch, I would feel a lot more comfortable.  Last time I looked, the seat was fairly expensive (around $350).  Can't seem to find a used one on ebay or craigslist so I'll keep looking I guess.

Be patient on CraigsList and eBay.  I found mine on eBay - it was brand new (wrapped in shipping plastic and OEM box), and $100.  This was about 3+ years ago, but they're still out there.

Do you have any pics from the front? I like your front windscreen/fairing. Do you have a square headlight on it?

She's got 24,000 miles, round headlight.  For me, perfect fairing as it looks a little 'Old School', small enough and also keeps the wind off my hands.  It's a Shoei FM-2 - I've seen it still available NOS on eBay.  This pic shows it better.
