I guess I'm first.

$500.00, removed the giant barn door of a windshield and gave it a wash. Doing fork seals and brakes this week, and it should be good to go.

The only issue I've discovered is it smokes a little. I can't afford to do anything about though.
I know where there's another complete one I should be able to get for well less than $500.00. Good to have on hand just in case.

Wow, super nice bike and a great deal.....

I wouldn't worry too much about the smoking issue if it is just at idle or very low speed. Chances are the valve guide seals are just plain old and they are letting a little oil suck through.

I had the same issue with my RWB 700S when I bought her. Probably the bike just needed to be ridden more frequently. As I started riding it, the seals must have expanded fully and no more smoking at idle.

Definitely check your oil level before every ride and add if you need to.

I always felt that they were one of the nicest bikes that Honda ever designed.

So my $500.00 bargain just improved a little.
I had to spend some money on fork seals & rear brakes, so it works well now.
My son comes home from school to inform me that they have a complete ( but mostly disassembled ), 84 red 650, with mint condition body work. When he asked his shop teacher about it, he said to make him an offer he can't refuse because he wants it gone.

What it means is I have all the spare parts I need ( taillight, headlight, signals, and a few other bits ), plus whiteout having to take mine off the road, I can rebuild the motor in the other ( mine smokes ), and just install it when it's done.
A new tail light on it's own is $140.00, if I can get the bike for anything less than that, then I would say I did just fine.
I'll post some photos when I get it.
