I think this is the right spot to post this. I'm working on a 78 CB400 TII Hawk for a friend of mine, and I was wondering if anyone has had experience working on starter motors. If the electric ignition is used the bike makes a lots of clunking and banging sounds, which don't happen when the kick start is used. I'll be taking it out within the next week or so, and was wondering if anyone has tips/tricks that may help.
  Thanks
