Hello guys,

I just got an CB650 as a first bike needs alot of work, one of which is a cluster.

I ve been searching my ass off but cant seem to find a reference for which clusters are interchangeable!

There are 4 kinds of cluster i am aware of so far.

1. the box Kind
2. Silver box with back to the future look
3. Cylinder type with max MPH at 80
4. Cylinder type of the 92's with Max 130 MPH

Are all these interchangeable? i mean i seen that the cylinder type has a one plug connector and the others have 3?
No pictures of my bike yet but it looks like this : http://www.engelhart.com/dlrindexsend_pg_pov_veh_574852-1982.htm

 welcome
I highly doubt that a non-identical unit will be easily adaptable.
Why does the whole kit 'n caboodle need replacement?  Is is smashed to pieces, just doesn't work, or has a few cosmetically shot parts?

hello and welcome to NHF mr.rabbit87. your cluster will have to come from another '82 650 or maybe an '82 750 if the cluster is similar

Hey man, if you have yet to fix this problem I have a 82 Nighthawk with the original cluster, I'd be glad to send you a few pics so you can get things squared away.
I just got my CB650SC as my first bike as well, and mine needs a little work to get it where it needs to be.
