I picked this up on Craigslist a couple weeks ago. I've always loved this year and was lucky enough to find one. The bike is all original with 12k miles. It's in amazing condition. Found it close to home which was a bonus.

Buffalo, NY. I was trying to locate the stripes for the sidecovers. They are starting to lift slightly. I've see that most places that list parts for these bikes that they just aren't available anymore.

yea, You can paint the bike and buy pin striping , the 1/4 " red and white or silver look good around the tank and couling and round the seat couling . as soon as i figger out putting on pictures i
'll show my bike and the brackets for the saddle bags. I have looked all over for luggage rack and sissy / eng bars no luck. I do know a 83 tank will fit on an 82. If you ever get a chance to get two of any thing for this bike keep me in mine thank you, I had a buddy form buffalo Name newcom in the coast guard in the 50s, pretty country up there.

I've see that most places that list parts for these bikes that they just aren't available anymore. Some parts are hard to impossible to find. All the high wear stuff and most other components have aftermarket equivalents. If honda doesn't have it, someone else probably does though it may take a bit of searching and you may have to resort to used hardware or custom work for things such as the stripes. BTW, if you ever want to get rid of those pipes and put something else on or if you run across some just like those, just let me know... I'm currently looking for some just like that in good condition.

I'm usually the one who never finds the deal. I lucked out on this. I'm trying to keep this as original as possible. The guy before me had a sissy bar on it with a bag to keep stuff in that went over the top. That marked up the tail of the bike but I got rid of most of the scuffs with some fine grit rubbing compound. The chrome is amazing and especially the exhaust for its age. I pulled the exhaust off to clean them better and get to the frame behind it. Just took the aluminum valve covers off yesterday to buff them up. The front Honda emblem on the forks is off in this picture because I was repainting the black that flaked off.

Is the paint on the frame from the factory? I don't remember seeing colored frames before. BTW it looks great.

I think Honda painted the frame Scram, awhile back I seen one for sale the same way. It might have even been this one. A professor in Mi. was selling it, original owner only took it to school and back. Same low miles.
Really sharp bike Sync......good choice!

Nice I have the same one, bought it last year with 14k. Similar condition, maybe a little worse. I like the bike, wish it was shaft driven like the others, but otherwise great short commuter bike. Im getting some custom bars done for it, i'll post pics when done.

The bike is all original except the tires were replaced by the previous owner. The frame is exactly how the bike came. All the original stickers that are on the tank, shocks, helmet clip, chain guard and other places are still in tact. I want to keep this as original as possible. I actually have more recent pics that look even better than this one and from the other side. The seat is perfect. I just shouldn't have put Armour All on it. Kinda slippery when riding but I'm sure it will wear off. Thanks for the great responses.

The Armor all will wear off fairly quickly with use. I usually wait until I'm going to be away for a few days or when its raining, then armor all it and let it sit. If it sits for a few days its not near as slippery when you get on to ride.

Wow, what a beauty.
You're not in the new england area, are you? I had just seen one of these on Craigslist and had half a mind to go get it.

Do you actually use armorall on the seat? That turns vinyl so slick that a spider would fall down. Don't even think about putting it on the tires. You'll end up on the ground faster than a spider can fall down.

I have been detailing cars for 6 years I know better, I really can't stand anything shiny that shouldn't be, bothers me when people come and say can you armor"it"all up. I have a product that is like armorall minus 10. I just meant I havent used anything like that unless the prior owner did. Do you actually use armorall on the seat? That turns vinyl so slick that a spider would fall down. Don't even think about putting it on the tires. You'll end up on the ground faster than a spider can fall down.
