That's ok, I had one of those....no comparison to the Nighthawk. I really don't miss mine.

It was my first motorcycle.  I bought it for $450 I think, rode it for a handful of times the first summer and then it had a problem that sounded like a coffeee can full of nuts & bolts rattling around.  I sold it in 45 minutes on Craigslist - to a guy who drove a coupel hundred miles to pick it up that very day I sold it.  Worked out OK for me!

Mine was a 74 750-4......ok for the day, but now I feel like it was a lead sled.

My friend bought 2.5 CB360's for something like $150.  Never got to ride with him on my CB500T (yeah, lead sled) but supposedly it was light and spry and had six gears.  He claimed he could outcorner the late-80s sportbikes...

Inarguably quintessential styling.

I I rem, embr right it was a 1971 Honda CB350 - It was really light & easy to ride as my first bike.  I felt like a classic Honda biker on it - approachable yet cool.  When I bought my Nighthawk, I realized how nice the CB350 was - it was like riding a bicycle compared to my Nighthawk. Now I love my CB700S, but that CB350 was so light & well-balanced I think I would buy another for an extra bike if I saw one cheap enough.  I DID feel a little like a clown riding it though - 6'2" - 250#...oy veh, the suspension didn't like my modern American girth...

This was my return to riding when the kids got older.  I paid $300 for it in non-running condition.  This is after I'd cleaned it up, got a spare tank, refurbished the emblems and been riding it for a while.  Nice bike, but I don't miss it much.  Took a lot of tinkering to get it going, and it needed more.  I got tired of chasing parts and bought the 02 NightHawk.

My kids think motorcycles are so cool...well, I think the novelty is wearing off.  When I got my Nighthawk, this picture was taken the same day I think:

I started out with a Gold 72 CB350
Later on got a Green 72 CB750
Put lots of miles on both of them.
