Once I've finalized the purchase of my '83 Nighthawk 650 later today, it will have a newer younger sister to keep it company. Here's my other ride, a 2007 Piaggio Fly 150 scooter.

How fast will that 150 scooter actually go? I been thinking about getting one for zipping around town and for when I decide to tear the nighthawk down for a decent resto/paint job.

I'm six foot, 215 lbs (in my socks) and I can get my Fly 150 up to 100 kph (62 mph). Not too shabby!

Man, what was it like riding the Yamaha SRX-6 ? I don't think I've ever seen one. Torque? That is a fantastic looking bike. Love the side plate and the pipe.

The SRX-6 was a hoot each time I rode it and I miss that bike dearly. It had character like no other bike I've had. It wasn't very powerful, was kickstart ONLY, wasn't the best for long rides due to the thin seat and thumping from the 600cc single piston and the clip-on bars were a pain but it still made me smile the whole time. The torque was nice and combined with the low weight it would leap off the line. There wasn't much top end though but high speed was not what the bike was about so it didn't matter. Ah....the good old days.

Those GS550's were great. So many different styles: From the naked, classic look to cruiser style to full fairing. I owned a 78 GS550e. Great bike and very fast for a 550. And the GS line of engines were solid...very reputable.
