Took the bike for the first spin since the cafe build has begun. This thing is FUN to ride!

Latest pic of the build. Really liking the way it's turning out!

Looks good Bagginz!  Did you smooth out the upsweep on the rear frame?

Thanks smoojee! Yeah, I ended up cutting out the rear frame. I tried to keep the original frame lines, but the stock frame just didn't end up working out. Too much drop in the center, and too much rake in the back. It's an odd frame for sure

Yea it is, I had a hoop welded on but I wish I'd done what you did.  I like the lines better on your frame.  I'll probably end up doing it later on.  When I move out to cali we should go for a ride.  Here she is now, not crazy about the seat.  I'll definitely be redoing it. Probably go with a diamond pattern.

Here's a concept for a removable cowl I'm making for when my girl won't be riding with me.

That's a cool setup you got going. What is that tank off of? The cool thing about these bikes, is that there isn't a lot of people building them yet.

When are you moving to cali?

It’s off a 82 Cb450t Hawk. Similar to a 750f tank.  I’m moving to the greater LA area.  Hopefully northern area like Glendale or Pasadena.

Thanks man! I cruised it over to cars and coffee with no intention of getting any attention and had a lot of people interested in it. Who'd a thought?

Can you give me a source for your tank decals?  Mine really needs a respray and I'm thinking of changing it up completely rather than going with the stock look.

Looks good. How does it handle with those low, short bars? Probably a different riding position?
Are you going to leave the space under the seat empty, or put something cool there?

Thanks! It handles great. Steering is much tighter and the riding position is quite a bit lower. It could use some front Springs though to help tighten it up. I'll most likely keep the space under the seat empty. I like that there's nothing there!
