Slapped on my wind screen, my girl girl hopped on and we were off.  It was my third time on the highway and the other two were only for a few Min's to see what it was like. We went to Fargo which is about 70+ miles south of us and i could see doing more miles in a day on my 700s.  But I'm very surprised on how fast i was going through my gas, i could watch the needle drop.   The speed limit is 75 but went about 70(tried to keep RPM's under 6k) and i didn't want to hit reserve either again first time going on a trip and i dint want to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere.  Tripe was fun and i would go on more.  ricky

Did about 150 miles round trip.

P.S.  Close top air vent on helmet, unless you like died bugs getting in.

If you're really going through your gas, I'd take your spark plugs off and see if they indicate if you're running rich. But IIRC somehwere around 150miles is average for a 700s, but I may ne wrong.

Hey Eams,
You will find that if you can keep the revs below 5000 RPM you will get fantastic gas millage. Go above 6000 RPM and you will notice that gas gauge dropping fast.
