Nice helmet, LOKi.  Even better price! I had to give them my email address to get it, but here's the link for anyone else who wants to see it...

$144 for the IS-Max right now....

FYI, polarized sunglasses reveal the stress patterns of a helmet visor in a trippy iridescent way, and it is very distracting.  You'll also see patterns in car windshields, but that's less of a concern.  Anyway, that's why my prescrip sunglasses that I drive with are a no-no for riding.

Yup, I do notice that on a daily basis.  It is pretty trippy, but I much prefer way polorized glasses cut down on glare off steel bumpers and other things like cars windows.  Ever drove past a tall building with all the windows on that side that redirect the sunlight right to your eyes?  Those bright blinding lights are more distracting than the psychadelic colors to me.  We all make sacrifices right?

Prescription polarized sunglasses combined with tinted shield. I don't find the polarized sunglasses distracting at all.

I don't ride a night, so it doesn't pose a problem usually. I've gotten caught a couple times, where I'll just ride with the shield up, or the sunglasses off. Legally, I don't need the prescription to drive. But I know better. I wish they made a a photochromatic shield. But I think my next set of glasses will be transition lenses. Maybe I'll wear my glasses more often, seeing as I only wear my current ones (sunglasses and regular) to drive.

Transitions are the Best way to Go, I have the Photo Gray. I had the same Problem, and it was a PITA always carrying Two Pair of Glasses around  (Perscription Sunglasses and Regular Glasses) all the time.

Very true. However these are questions we sane and intelligent individuals ask ourselves. There is a major difference in the way the "other half" of the motorcycling community thinks and reacts.

A- How cool do I look right now?
B- How cool do I look right now?
C- How American is my bike?
D- How cool do I look right now?

That image is why I have some good riding boots. Look at that foot. I looks like it was run over by a cement truck then smacked with a meat tenderizer a few times.

My helmut came with a tinted shield but I've yet to put it on. I wear my sport sunglasses (Native) behind the clear shield. I'd like to try the tinted shield but waiting for consistent sunny weather. Ha!!! This summer?!  ImaPoser

ATGATT for me.

(All The Gear All The Time)

x2!!

When I bought my HJC IS-16 from New Enough (list $190...I paid $137!), there was a special promotion going on where I would receive a second internal sun visor free.

The helmet came with this one:

And they just sent me this one for free:

It's called the 'Hi-Def' visor.  Since changing it takes 15 seconds, I think I might try that my next evening ride - seems like it would do well to reduce glare from oncoming headlights.

I wear sunglasses.  I've tried on a few helmets with internal visors but the visor didn't seem to come down far enough (I think that was the HJC helmet).  I have very sensitive (blue) eyes, and I can't ride  (or drive a car) comfortably without sunglasses.
