Took a short ride today with my 11 year old son. Nothing fancy, rode about 20 miles on local side roads near home. Wanted to stay off of the main roads with my son on the back for now. Stopped by masons mill park on the way home to snap a few pics. Ride Safe,

Nice pics there hockeyhawk. Where are the ones of your son on the bike? I'm sure he wants his fifteen minutes of fame.

At what age can a child sit on the back of a motorcycle?...legally? and realistically?
My son is almost 4 and I take him for quick rides around the block...but he sits in front of me so I can hold him in, so to speak.

Good question, my son is 11 and is fine on the back. But we still kept the ride on local back roads, I don't think I would take him on any main roads or highways for a few years. He loves just putting around the neighborhood.

I just bought my nighthawk to get back into street riding after giving it up when my kids came along and now that I have a bike again I realized I should of never stopped. The kids love it as much as I do. When I wash the bike they are right there with me. When I have a chance to pick one of them up at camp or a friends house they ask "Dad can you pick me up on the motorcycle". I love it and teach them about bike the right way. Safety first at all times. Ride Safe,

I still have a street bike...my son loves it...he pretends to work/wash his bike when I'm doing the same on my Nighthawk. I also plan on getting him a mini bike soon too.
