So here are some pics you can see all the cosmetic problems and hopefully I will get you new pics as I fix her up.  From the front you can tell the fairing is off and the bars are bent.  I am aiming to get some bars and fairing thanks to this list and fix those problems this season. Over the winter I plan on taking all the boday work off have it painted and put new decals on. That should be it for a while other than basic maintenance.

Will have to create another post for the rest of the pics

Ouch, the cracked dials would drive me nuts.  Splinted blinker stalks can last years IME.
Are you planning on putting closed-end grips on?  The stock bars really aren't meant for end-weights and I dread taking out the ones I hammered in.

The cracks don't bother me as much as the rattling and shaking everytime I hit a bump. Thanks to the list I have located a fairing. Now I have to find a cluster.  Once I get both I will tear down everything and I am guessing will find some bent and or broken mounting hardware as well.

As for the grips I was going to put new grips and ends on or I was thinking of bar end mirrors.  Thanks for the tip about the bar ends. LOL

New fairing will look good  winker
86cb700sc has an instrument cluster for sale.
I replaced my stock mirrors with aftermarket mirrors from Canadian Tire (local hardware store). They work great.
I also put aftermarket signals on mine and did away with those rubber front fork mounts.

The aftermarket signals are only 2 wire at the front. So I taped the 3rd wire (constant power) back out of the way. Running lights not req'd for safety in Ontario

I did the paint and decals thing last winter and it was well worth it. Looks brand new now. Good luck with your project.

No prob...
I purchased them off of eBay here:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280342627901

Just so you know, my front signals are mounted to a metal bar that is bolted to the top bolt on my oil cooler. The metal bar bends back at 90 degrees...and thats where the signals bolt into.
Here is pic I took that gives you an idea of what I'm talking about:

Gammer your bike is very nice looking. Hey, them rear shocks after market ? How are they compared to stock ? I've got mine cranked all the way up and still kinda soft.
