a guy i work with is working on a restore, but its been pretty well kept. if i remember correctly, he said it was a late '60s and the badge on the tank says cb160.

these are the other two i took, id like to get a few more, at least one of the speedo, it goes to something obscene like 120 mph. not much in the way of frame, is there?

not much in the way of frame, is there?

the nighthawk 450sc frame looks like a descendant of that one :) at least the way the motor mounts.  the engine takes up a big chunk of the frame of that bike too.

Thats the way Honda used to think, the engine was actually part of the frame and provivded the stability/rigidity the bike needed. Most of the 400's and 450's produced by Honda look similar to that, withmaybe an extra frame tube coming down 6-8 inches in front of the engine. That bike looks really good, almost perfect except for the colour.

with all the throw-away speedos these older hondas seem to have, i'd hate to think about how much that thing would be to replace.

yanno, that looks very similar to the 1966 yamaha big bear 250 i used to have.  i mentioned it once in a thread here, about how i had the 300 cc motor for it that was supposed to be pretty fast.
