Well - I put 90 miles on my 700 SC this afternoon.  Loki emailed me yesterday to say he was coming over to Lafayette from New Orleans and wanted to know if I wanted to get together.  I jumped at the opportunity - we met not far from my house, and took off.  Nothing too fancy - just riding through the country roads surrounding my home town.  A little twisty at times, and my riding techniques are starting to come back just a little.  Loki is far more experienced than I am, and gave me some great ideas for future Christmas and Birthday gifts.  Filled up close to home to check the mileage - 42.5 mpg, not bad.  The NH is so fun - awesome riding position.  Plenty of power, but not too much.

I had a blast.  I mean an all out ball!  I'm talking - I didn't want to go home.  Heck - I even made a new friend.  Thanks Loki for the invite.

He took some pics and will hopefully post them next week.

That is pretty good millage.
One thing you will notice about these bikes, is how drastic the gas millage can change depending on how you drive it. If you are keeping the RPM's around 4-5K, then it will yield good millage. If you are keeping the revs up over 6k, the millage drops off fast.
If I drive mine conservatively (shifting before 5k, and keeping the revs below 5k), I can get over 200 Km's out of a tank of gas. If I shift around 6k and above, I only get about 150 Km's on a tank of gas.

Sounds like you had a great ride.
Looking forward to seeing the pics  thumb
