Longevity? I'll tell you where the longevity is coming from: Crazy little Japanese designers that have personal integrity and build stuff to last.

41,000 miles means it's just now fully broken in, not end of life expectancy. Take care of it properly and you have a fair chance of riding it until civilization collapses and you'll stop then only because you can't get gas and new tires for it.
