How much higher is that than the stock bars?  My '97 750's stock bars already have about a 5-6" rise IIRC.  7" probably wouldn't make much of a difference comfort or handling wise.

The higher you go, the harder it's going to be to control at slower speeds.  I had a set of 24" apes on a bicycle once (because I make good life choices).  It was really comfortable for short rides once you got going, but it was almost impossible to steer in a straight line as you got moving.

i think they would be about an inch and a half taller . yea was wondering about the handling tho . only thought ofitbecause i have to change bars any way because the old girl got blown over last summer while i was at work and bent handle bars in on both sides . the neighbor picked it up the first time then it blew ober again .

I wouldn't think that an inch or two would make a huge handling difference.  Hopefully someone who's done it on a NH can confirm.

why stop at 7"?

j/k.

*some states have restrictions on rise above the seat and/or width of handlebars (not that it applies).
