I broke the 1,000 mile mark today!!!! I started riding about the middle of June of this year.
I had an issue with the clutch yesterday morning. Found out my slave cylinder is leaking, (no pressure, no release) so tonight, I filled/bled the system, wiped everything down, and went for a short (20mi or so) ride. It was on the way home, on the Robert Moses Causeway Bridge, so the scene was the Great South Bay. It was really nice, I took the camera, but the battery died so no good pics.
I am happy about this milestone, yet when I was almost home (<1mile) I saw flashing lights and a bike on the ground :o/
Somewhat of a blurry night shot taken tonight at Robert Moses S.P.

Congrats on the first K , so what happened with the bike on the ground? I have no clue, as I drove by there was just the bike, a flat bed and a cop car. Bad accident spot at that crappy intersection though.

right, people have the attitude that the biggest vehicle has the right of way.

right, people have the attitude that the biggest vehicle has the right of way. Not just that, its "bigger vehicle has the right of way until you're bigger than me.. then I still get the right of way" attitude of people, and it doubles at night as most people are in a hurry to get home or to the bar, or somewhere else "important". I always get exhausted faster with night riding than daytime riding, as I'm constanly looking/waiting for cars to try and get ahead of me whenever they can.
