So I've got a '91 750 NH that must have been crashed at some point in its lifetime.  When taking the speedo and tach out of the covers I can see that it's cracked and JB welded and the mounts have been re-fabricated (poorly).  Given the extent of the damage I believe that replacement rather than repair would be wisest.  Does anyone know of any options other than OEM to replace these with?  Cost alone of OEM keeps me away from this option.  Used parts retailers aren't far from factory prices.  Thanks!

A bicycle electronic speedo is the cheapest for that app.

Not too bad.  I have some questions about overall look if I went that way, plus how I would sell it without a good odo reading, though.  Also I am a bit leery about the visibility on the model.  Can anyone attest to day/night visibility on this thing?

It is back-lit and the visibility is very good both in daylight and at night. I've never had any problem reading it. The only thing I don't like about it is that the face scratches easily.
