My 85 700 nighthawk
« on: August 07, 2017, 05:35:16 AM »
Hello my name is Daniel and i live in Missouri.  I just bought a 85 700 nighthawk, Got it from my brother, he had it given to him but it was really not his thing due to serious health problems.  I got it for what he had in it, a great deal of 350$  I got to ride it a couple years ago and fell in love with it, i made it known that if he were to ever get rid of it i wanted it.  It set for a couple years outside so i had to give it a good cleaning up and clean the carbs and tank.  Gauges were so fogged over that i could not tell what was the tach or the speedometer.  A good polishing with a headlight polish kit cured that.  Now the bike fires right up as soon as i hit the button and rides like a dream.  Its missing the side covers, for some reason every bike i get is like that.  I have a 82 Gs1000 cant stand that big ole thing, also have a 70 Cb350 that i am rebuilding from the ground up.  I will get some pics of it up this evening when i get home from work.  Any way thanks for having me on here, i know i will have a ton of questions.

Here it is.  I have seen the red ones and the blue ones and even some all black ones.  What we have here is the ultra rare red and blue nighthawk.   I really do love this bike, its going to stick around for many years.

I think you need a bigger battery in there.
