Cold weather gear

I just saw Hangsters post on winter hoodie.

What other winter gear do you guys use?

Currently my weak spot are my knees. I am considering one of these:

Any opinions or ideas how to protect your legs and other limbs?

My ankles to just above the knees are covered by my shin/knee armour. From the knee to hip gets cold, but a good set of thermal underwear helps with that. Jacket is a 3 season, and works great in the cold with all 3 layers on it. Gloves are cold weather gloves from BMG, and to help the neck/head is a balaclava from UnderArmor

Here is another product to try out in the future to be worn over a good pair of socks ....I'll be ordering a pair and test them out (toe cramps aren't fun when you're shifting gears and they seam like a good addition to keep them warm)

I would say that an electric vest and some decent nylon motorcycle pants is the way to go for stopping wind chill.  And essentially what I do. 
Pants can't be any harder to put on than these legging things, and they cover more, have pockets, armor, water resistance, etc.  Even that shimmery wind/waterproof liner that comes with mesh gear would probably help.
I think each can be found for around a c-note.

Thinking about taking Martian's lead on overpants, but what are opinions/knowledge about rubber overgloves in winter, e.g. http://www.newenough.com/raingear/over_gloves/first_gear/rubber_motorcycle_overgloves.html? Does lack of breathability make mesh glove more usable in cold? Not bitter cold, just 30s and up.

This is what I wear touring when cold:

"Long Day Comfort" shorts
polypropylene under layer top, bottom, socks
wool socks
"Oxtar" Gore-Tex riding boots
leather pants w/ armor
"Warm & Safe" electric jacket and gloves w/ Heat-troller
leather jacket w/ armor and liner
fleece neck gator
full face helmet

add optional Gore-Tex rain jacket and pants for more warmth.
I also bring along a fleece jacket and Gore-Tex insulated gloves in case of electrics fails. They have not in 3 years of heavy use.

I can ride warm and toasty all day with freezing temperatures.  Up to 400 miles 30-40 F.  Lowest was 25 F one morning.  The Nighthawk S has enough power for the electric clothes.

I can survive with out the electrics.  
I can be hot tub warm with them.

Gore-Tex is amazing stuff for warmth, sealing out the wind and not getting damp with perspiration.
