Just bought my first bike, an 84 Nighthawk 650. Found it on Craigslist for $600!!!!! Couldn't believe it, drove an hour with a buddy to check it out. Started right up and ran like a top. It was in the back of my truck and on the way home in no time! Since this picture was taken, I have removed the Windjammer and saddle bags. Needs new fork seals and a good tune-up. Will soon do some more cleaning and customization, and will post pictures as I make changes. Glad to be a part of the motorcycle and especially Nighthawk owners community!

Welcome to the group.  Removing the fairing would have been my first order of business too.  That thing makes the bike look like a bobble head doll.

Hope you enjoy your bike - ride safe.

Good find for $600.  You would have needed pontoons on there last week after the flood in S'Port.

Nice find, Congrats.

For what it's worth if the fairing is in good shape it would probably pull some bucks on ebay

The bags are not Vetter but either K & G or Shoei. My memory is getting a bit fuzzy on the older accessories.

The bike has a whopping 49,000 miles! The previous owner drove it round trip 90 miles everyday to work. I guess that's why he let it go so cheap. Also, he seemed like he needed the money pretty bad. I want to keep the bags, but the turn signal bracket is clean broken off. Also, one of the lids came off while the previous owner was driving down the interstate so it's pretty banged up. I read on a site that those bags and rails were a factory option? Not sure. If anybody wants the fairing, its in great shape, and I'd love to get rid of it! Still got the key for the locking compartment, headlight and turn signals both work, just plug it in! Oh and luckylindy, I got the bike from a guy in Jefferson! But seriously that flood was bad!
