650 Nighthawk exhaust question.
« on: December 20, 2017, 10:26:08 AM »
Got my 83 650 Nighthawk running great.  Only question I have is that when I first run it, there is some black wetness on the ground underneath the bike.  Seems to be coming from the exhaust.  Upon further inspection, there is a small hole on each side underneath where the two pipes connect.  Is this just to blow out condensation from when it sits ?  Black liquid is very watery.

You answered your own question correctly.  They're drain holes for condensation.
