Love the early eighties superbikes!  That's when men were men and motorcycles were motorcycles.

I'd heard the Royal Enfields had had some quality problems... the kept the molds too long and the part quality wasn't always consistent.  BUT the article I read also said they have a new director and it appears that's going to change (or it may have already changed, because the fuel injection was also something they were talking about).  I think they're pretty cool looking bikes too.

Oh... and cool ride.  Love the pics.  Roland Sands seems to do some interesting things.

Addendum to this photo ride / vintage shoot from last fall: I'm in the midst of scanning a bunch of early family pics and what should I find but this shot of my uncle in 1950 riding a 'Whizzer' just like the restored one I photographed at the museum last fall.
