Thanks to everyone who helped me decide on which bike I should get as I searched for a modern version of my Nighthawk S over the past few weeks.  I love the 'Hawk, but this new steed is amazing.  2005 Kawasaki Z750s, with 3800 miles on it. I've put 50 miles or so on her today and I still have a &%$ eating grin on my face ricky.   The ergos are a bit tight for a sport-standard, but with its handling and amazing acceleration I wont care too much.   Best comparison is that both bikes are like Corvettes, but the Hawk is a C4 with lots of miles on it and the Z is a fresh C6.  Here's a few pics

I know it has several more horsepower, as the Z750S is one of a handful of bikes I considered (and actually my favorite) before finding my Nighthawk.  I really wanted the blue, but it was black that year, and that became the last year.

I think I mentioned that already in previous thread.  Well, looks great and good luck with her.  burnout

Congrats Tom - it's a good looking bike.  Is it chain drive?  Are you going to keep the NH?

Looks great!  Congrats!  I would be lying if I said I wasn't just a bit jealous.  I want another bike!

NoCal Tom, nice looking Z750 - I like that blue with the blackout.  Your NightHawk appears a bit jealous, this may be hard for it to accept.   Sad

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone.  Lets see... it is chain drive, and yes, it has a nice storage bin under the seat, as its a 49 state bike and doesn't have the CA emissions stuff there.  Previous owner put a 12V adapter power point in under the seat and cool LED signals.  I should post a video of them, they are so cool.

As for the 700S, I will probably sell her in the next 6 months or so, just being honest.  And yes, she is pissed about the new bike. very mad  I went to start it yesterday to do a quick ride to compare to the Z, and the battery was dead. She's still mine for now, and I will make sure she finds a good new home eventually by starting with the members on this board.

NoCal Tom, congratulations on your new scoot! I am little surprised to hear the
ergos are more cramped on the Z, I thought it would be pretty equal.

By the way, your post count is over 25 now, so you can post your 700s for
sale in the classifieds, don't you just love this site, lol? thumb

Here's one of those down in FL. Is $5K high or average for these? Nice looking bike though  hot.

I paid $3500 for mine with 3800 miles on it, but the seller was pretty motivated.  I think nice ones can be found under $4K all winter long.  Funny how this one has all those appearance mods, and next to no miles on it.  And now its for sale.. think2

M98, you lean forward on your wrists more and the seat has a forward slope that I need to get used to.  Some have put bar risers on it, but since this is the most sporting bike I've had, I want to give it a chance before I change anything.  I know its not a crotch rocket, but it feels like one to me!
