The first MC I rode as a teen was a Yamaha 175 Enduro.

When I decided to get my license I had my heart set on a BMW F650 Funduro. Stupid name, beautiful bike. I had gone so far as made a few bids on some ebay auctions, but they all ended up being out of my price range. When I did the MSF course, I rode a DR and quickly realized a dual-sport was probably not the best bike for my 5'10" frame.

Further research led me to the NH, and I've never looked back.

I ride 4 bikes
02 Honda VFR800, sport touring
85 Honda CB700SC, hot rod
08 Suzuki DRZ400S, Dual sport
78 Yamaha DT175, trail bike

The DRZ is the latest addition to the stable.  Much more suited for me than the heavy KLR650 I just got rid of.  Washington state offers plenty of great dual sport riding.

Hwy 410 by Mt. Rainier.  We rode out to Packwood and did forest roads between there and Randle.

Well that stock DRZ tire is a bit more road than dirt.  I do have to take it easy on it but find I can manage with them.  Great on the road.  I have a set of DOT knobbies waiting in the garage for when I wear them out.

OK here's my DRZ, I think 2001. Dude I got it from rode the hell out of it as a dirt bike. After a few crashes he had to replace the Gage pack then sold to ME  claps

She's got a ting to here on high rev's but hauls butt, some day I'll put that big bore kit in her..

Nice DRZ400. My brother had a yellow DRZ400 a couple years ago. He does a bit of Hwy driving so he traded it in and got a TE610...I can't believe that Husky is street legal  scratcher

It has out ran every Big foot so far. I had to put the drop dog bone on it and slide up the fork tube's. All I could do to get my leg over it. Then I was Mr. Tippy Toe's.. I bet that thing hauls...
