Work great but remember, "cold weather" for me is mid 40's. I'm not riding any colder than that. Luckily, it only gets colder than that about 20 days a year! I'm not going to track them down but that number has been steadily going down sense you first stated "I'm not riding any colder than 60's". Next year Pants will be saying. "No way I'm riding any colder than 35*" This winter on a really cold (<38*, doesn't get much colder than that around here) weekend we are going to go for a ride. We can switch up bikes so you can try the heated jacket and grips along with the hand guards. I'll "suffer" the cold on your bike.

Sounds good - we'll call it training. Heck - I might even give Laminar a run for the frozen money!!

Are you guys talking about your overnight low temps or do you get day time highs that are only mid 30s?

hp, thought I would reserect an old thread because I need to get some cold weather gloves. I was wondering if you did end up getting these gloves and how they worked out for you.
JB, I'm glad you revived this old thread, cause I'm interested in getting a real pair of MC winter gloves and saving my ski gloves for skiing. BTW, my working definition of "cold weather" is below 40F. My ski gloves are good to 35F for an hour ride, but there is zero abrasion protection, and while they are fine for gripping ski poles, they make the use of turn signals, horn, etc a real challenge! I'd like to find the best, non heated gloves without paying for a pair of Helds.

What I would really like is a glove that is designed around heated grips. I like to feel the grips and controls. With some dexterity left to handle a lighter. They could make the tops of the hand and fingers thicker while the palms are just leather. Is there any such animal out there?

Your so funny.
I didn't see how it could be possible, but I am trying to picture how Pants gets out for middle of the night motorcycle rides in those low temps. His SOQS must be much more liberal than I am. I expect hubby home during those low temperature hours, if he isn't, cold hands will be the least of his problems.

how Pants gets out for middle of the night motorcycle rides in those low temps. No Maam... Ain't gonna happen. I was referring to the early morning - o'dark thirty temperature. When I first leave the house for the Saturday or Sunday morning ride. I'm usually in bed around 10:00 pm every night - SOQS is the night owl in our home.

I have to wonder if they can really be any good for that price. I just got these myself: http://www.motoport.nl/epages/Motoport.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Motoport/Products/025724/SubProducts/025724I've bought and tested 4 different pairs, and these turned out to be the warmest and the second best in terms of movability and grip/handlebar feel (the best were also the least warm). I've returned the other 3 pairs I tested of course. I love my local bikeshop for letting me test the gear this way. I felt kind of funny though, driving up and down the highway with different gloves on each hand for comparison Tomorrow my Acerbis handguards (just putting those on for winter time, I'll remove them again in the spring) arrive together with my thermal underwear, I hope that'll do for the winter, it's already getting quit cold over here.

Pants, I don't know how your Joe Rocket Nitrogens are holding up but the ones I got last year aren't worth a flip. They keep my hands "kinda warm" but the construction is very poor, one seam started seperating the first week I had them. I also wouldn't want to go down with them on as they don't feel very sturdy. They will have to do until I get the green light from SOQS on a pair of these.

Those look toasty and they look comfortable! Let me know how you like them (When you get approval of course), I may buy some myself.

Pants, I don't know how your Joe Rocket Nitrogens are holding up So far so good. But at temps above 50 deg., I'm still going with the summer gloves. So last winter, I rode with the winter gloves maybe 20 times. Only twice so far this year. I may not be a good tester for this product.
