I'll get some pics up tonight...wife is out till 7 and the kids can't fend for themselves quite yet. I am running some Ebay special standard 54mm pod filters. The #1 and #4 would not fit between the frame and carb so they are squished a bit...would matter if I gave a crap about this bike looking perfect. Sometime this weekend I'm going to pop the tops off the carbs and slide a couple washers up in there and see if the off idle response gets better as well.

Here's just a couple...it was raining like hell outside so I did the best I could with the lights in the garage...the last one I just thought looked cool...that effing blue/purple frame has got to go though! btw it sounds actually pretty good with the baffles in  not as loud as one might think...i'll have to get a video clip soon.

well...the 750 pick up fell through. The wife found out I was sneaking another bike into the mix and couldnt understand it was 100 bucks and only for parts. It didnt help my cause that it's her birthday in two weeks and she knows money is a little short right now... anywho- I'll spend some time in the garage tonight to try to mount my little fairing on there for now... I also have a decent oil leak coming from the oil pump cover area. I opened it up and couldn't really tell where the leak was actually coming from...I think I am going to take the cover off and run it to see ( as long as I can remove it w/out taking the pipes off) I will post a pic of the fairing once it's on.

What are these baffles?  I have an 83 550 and I would very much like to get rid of the huge ass cone mufflers in favor of something compact and light.

The worst part about it is that those HM460A exhausts are near impossible to find in good condition...yet people keep butchering pristine sets with an axe instead of doing a swap/sell with us purists who need them unaltered in good condition.  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

I sold the darkhawk a few months ago... the baffles were ebay baffles. I had the mufflers for sale or trade on here for a while and no one bit, so off with their heads! LOL it's just motorcycles y'all. They are not fossil fragments indicative of human life a million years ago. Have fun and safe cycling everyone!
