Skyline Drive worth riding?
« on: September 06, 2018, 08:08:14 AM »
Planning our Spring motorcycle trip next year and we'll be riding the length of the Blue Ridge Parkway (North to South).  Is it worth going further north and riding the Skyline Drive as well before the BRP? It would add maybe 5 hours to the trip and cost $25 a person.  Is it worth the time and money to ride this?  I'm not sure the Red Baron can ride for 105 miles at 35 MPH.

The general consensus is "no." Merely more of the same.

I'm moving to NC and will be riding the BRP right out my back door almost.  If I can remember later this year or in the spring I'll check it out and let you know.  PM me and remind me in a few months and hopefully I won't be too busy being a newlywed and moving across the country to do it.

Lived nearby for years. For the riding/roads, no. They are pretty strict about the 35. The park is nice.
