Serena and I have added two more bikes to the stable.  Here is her fabulous Felt ZW25 -

And my bargain Trek Pilot 1.0 -

We both have mountain bikes because I really enjoy trail riding but Serena needed a bike better suited to competing in triathalons.  Last year she used her mountain bike but I encouraged her to get a road bike.  I also encouraged her to get a mid-level bike versus an entry level... I'm quite the enabler.  I wasn't even going to get a road bike for myself but they had this leftover 2007 Trek bike at half price and I couldn't resist.  I'm weak I know but I have a shiny new bike!  Now we have to use them... weather is supposed to finally warm up this coming weekend.

nice bikes, never heard of the felt bike though, how long have they been around? i've been thinking about a new bike but i would rather get the motorcycles running first, i know it's going to cost me $900 to $1500 for my next road bike. what pedals are you using? i have campy daytona's on the road bike

I believe Felt Bicycles is located in southern California and their bikes are built in Taiwan.  Their history goes back to the late 1980's but the brand was relaunched in 2001.  If interested you can read this link - http://www.feltbicycles.com/USA/About-Us.aspx  Serena has flat pedals for the Felt, she doesn't like the idea of being clipped in yet though she is starting to use them on her trainer.  For my Trek I went with basic Shimano pedals.

What road bike do you have?

I prefer to ride trails though, here is my Ibex Trophy -

the bianchi trofeo has the daytona pedals, mostly campy components, there is a schwinn super letour ( late '70's / early '80's ), schwinn sierra  ( '91 ), '85 schwinn world tourist and letour tourist

Very nice bikes you got there, Fish. Years ago, I really got into trail riding too. I still have my GT but, since I messed up my ankle, It has sat in the garage collecting dust. Now, my daughter is using the rear wheel for her bike since hers got tacoed. I keep telling myself that Im going to buy a new rear wheel and tire so I can start riding again. I need to get some better shoes for the clipless pedals though. I dont have to tell you how much that stuff costs. So many hobbies, so little money.

I rode quite a bit when I lived in Omaha.  Got here expecting more of the same.  Even built a new bike...bought the much of it on eBay.  But the riding group around here wasn't really conducive to new(er) riders, so I slacked off over time till I hardly ride anymore.
