OK I've done a lot of research on helmets and came across this brace , it can be worn while  motorcycling as well as other sports , it is an expensive protection investment but probably worth it if you like your neck the way it is , check out their videos

After reading this story that brace looks real good to me......s#^t

I was facing east, sitting still at the red light at Memorial and 98, waiting for the light to go green....Next thing I know I'm in the back of an ambulance on my way to the hospital...It happened in the blink of an eye...I was told she never even slowed down...

Apparently, I was plowed by a 15 year old driving her moms Ford Taurus without her permission...Um...Yeah, 15 year old...With no license of any kind....The car came from behind me and went up beneath the bike, throwing me over it as she failed to stop right away...I was thrown quite a ways after being airborn for a short time (at least that's what they tell me...

The good thing is, at the Gyro King at that intersection, there were 3 LPD officers who witnessed every second of it...The 15 year old actually came to stop right in front of them...Everyone thought I was done, apparently...

I have heard 3 versions of what distracted her, but I'll wait for the final report to see what she claims...She f'd up and lied to the po-po when she was questioned, telling them she was 16, not 15, so she got arrested on the spot, and her ticket count is more than a handful...

But somehow I woke up, severe concussion in full force...I had no recollection of the event or most of yesterday, but some details are coming back slowly...

For the record, I was in full gear...Helmet, jacket, gloves, boots, and jeans...I truly believe without them, I wouldn't be typing this thread right now...So chalk one up for the gear nazi's  ...It truly saved my life...

I won't go into detail about any injuries on here until insurance is taken care of, but most of you know my # and all of you see me out and about...So I'll give you the full scoop then...I will tell you I'm hurting all over, of course...

So until I see or hear from 'ya, wear your gear and ride safe...

Whoa dude, that sucks! Hope she never ever gets her license ever! I don't want to ride with people that almost kill you then blame their mistakes on distractions! Hope you get better man, I know hospital food sucks, if I was near ya, I would sneak ya some pizza or donuts. Get well soon

You almost have it.  Just use
