i was wondering if anyone knew if there is common spots for oil to leak on the frame? i have a leak on left side somewhere past the drain plug i think? theres a lot of weld pilled up there about 6 inches long but i cant figure out where ecactly it leaks from. also my bike has sat for awhile i tested the clutch with it in first gear i pulled in the clutch lever and it didnt roll. checked the fluid seems to be full. any help would be great.

Best way to find an oil leak is to thoroughly clean the area of all residual oil. Then see where new oil first appears.

Have you checked the oil tubes from the engine to the frame? Are all the oil pan bolts tight?

My frame tubes don't have that much weld material anywhere.  I'm wondering if the bike may have been dropped, the frame tube split, and someone did a poor job of welding it?  Just a thought.

On your clutch, have you tried bleeding it?

If you have never bled any hydraulic system, we may need to give you a littl more info.

May want to pull your oil pan and check for chunks down there as well.  It might not be a bad idea to tear things down completely and flush out the frame in case there are any chunks in there.
