Spring is here and the weather was perfect yesterday here in the Mid Atlantic region. Took a 200 mile round trip to the Eastern Shore of Virginia. I make this trip several times a year and the best part is being able to ride that far and only spend about 20 miles on the main highway. Didn't take many pics. This is the Upper Ferry crossing the Wicomico river that I took on the way to Virginia.... This is the lower ferry on the same river, called Whitehaven Ferry, that I took on the way back...... This picture is a salute and tribute to all of you that are currently or have served this great country of ours...... Bike is running good. Averaged about 45 mpg. Noticed a slight leak starting on the right side of my cam cover

I love Lake Michigan but it ticks me off that it blocks any eastern destination I might want to make and I don't want to ride through Chicago or Gary.

Very nice ride.....Thanks for the pic of the veterans cemetery. Everytime someone does something like that it makes me happy to see what me and my brothers have done does not go unnoticed by the people we do it for.

Great to see you Yankee out on the bikes now. I've heard the terms "upper" and "lower" used with rivers up north. Do these coincide with locks or dams?
Also, what tires are you running Brittles? They look sticky.

It does not go unnoticed by me.......thanks a ton from the bottom of my heart. I've heard the terms "upper" and "lower" used with rivers up north. Do these coincide with locks or dams?
No locks or dams on that river. It just refers to the upper being closer to the head waters of the river and the lower being closer to the mouth. Notice the difference in the widths between the pictures. Also, what tires are you running Brittles? They look sticky.

That's good to hear. I've only put probably 1,000 miles on mine and I like them. How many miles did you get out of your first set?

Brittles, sorry to say I don't know. I put 3500 miles on them, but they were on them when I bought them. They still had tread but the sidewalls had very small weather cracks. So I replaced them. Those miles didn't seem to wear down the tread all that much though.

I need to come up your way to ride. I've camped up there at Cunningham Falls more than once, but never been through there on a bike..........that would be a nice ride.
