Fuel Tank Compatability

Hello everyone,

This is a follow up question from my first post.

I am looking at buying a 1982 CB450SC, I am wondering if there are any fuel tanks that will fit from any other models/years of CB?
Or
Do you know a good supplier of new fuel tanks?

This bike needs a new fuel tank, but I have been looking online and it looks like the fuel tank is a hard find.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if other year 450's will fit your bike or not, but some probably will. I don't think the '82 450 was a one year bike.

Is the tank you have beyond repair? If so, check ebay.

i went to a local shop in perry ny and they had EVERYTHING  you could dream of in parts. i needed a gas tank for my 82 750sc. i think i got a 450 tank. dont quote me on that, but its much smaller then the 650 tank and it doesnt have a guage..so yea. for 40$ i couldnt go wrong :) 

moral of the story, check any local shops, you never know what you may find
