So this is not a visually impressive ride report by any standards. But I got up this morning popped a couple Motrin and went for a ride with my father in law. Please no snickers about the lack of NH's in the ride, I'm sure you all know what happened to mine. We did a little backroad loop from coastal Georgia into South Carolina and ate lunch at this little roadside dive (always the best food). All in all I think I handled it pretty well, considering the wreck was only three days ago. The only thing I noticed was some discomfort in my lower back ( forward controls ) and near panic aware senses. It seemed like the whole first half of the ride I was spotting certain doomat every intersection and in every blade of grass (maybe not a bad thing). I calmed myself though and managed to enjoy it a good deal. I found myself smiling from ear to ear by the time I got home. I also have been in less pain after this ride than any other time since the wreck. Enjoy the pics, stay safe, and above all keep riding...
Ari

Awesome that you're back in the saddle already! Talk about not letting it get you down.

Good for you for getting back on the horse. Not sure I could do it that quickly. With a name like "Squat N Gobble" that place has got to be good.

With a name like "Squat N Gobble" that place has got to be good. I'd stop there. It's obviously a down to earth establishment. They've got a RV awning mounted to the front. Spendy though.

I imagine the vibration from a solid-mounted Sportster engine can make you forget any other pain. It's great that you're back on the horse (even that dobbin) so soon, and I'm sure having someone alongside helps too. Heaven knows that persistent post-crash fear can haunt a rider for way too long.

Yeah happy, I suppose the ATGATT is lost on most of the Harley crowd, including my father in law. You can bet I had all my stuff on....well almost all my stuff since my helmet is not safe for riding I went back to my older, less shiny, but still full face helmet.

It's always great to see a fellow rider get back on the bike after an accident, but 3 days, wow man that's impressive. Glad to see your out there again, be safe and have fun.

Way to get back on the horse Ari. Those of us who have experienced a crash can understand the "near panic aware senses". We must always be aware of the numnuts around us and I'm still amazed at how you escaped serious injury if not death in your crash. Ride on brother.
