only if its an early 80's dohc 750 and 900. i have a '79 cb750k with a '79 cb750f front and rear end on it powered by an '82 900f motor. the rear motor mounts on the 900 are rubber mounted and you'll need those and the bolt to put the 900 motor in a 750 frame, the front will bolt right up. the 900 is one fin taller than the 750 motor but you won't have any clearance issues but you will have to make a mount for the oil cooler

yeah, i wouldn't swap out internal components of your motor for one with a bigger motor.  it's not like installing different parts in a harley motor to increase the engine size.

early 900 stuff will not work the early dohc 750, 900, 1000, and 1100 were all designed at or about the same time so there more a family. most parts interchange between them. the 700, 750 are a different engine family. the motors are shorter front to back the stator is not on the end of the crank like the early dohc motors, early dohc motors have shim and bucket valve trains not hyd lifters like later 700/750
