That IS a good deal, I know another rider with this jacket and can vouch for the quality.
My old mesh jacket has had its zipper replaced by me with the wrong color...and has survived a crash and a whole lotta miles. It's beat all to heck, but I can't justify buying another if my ugly old Power Trip is still serviceble...

BTW I don't think the Power Trip was a good jacket as the zipper gave out after a year. The rest of it has done fine. When I crashed, the seams did not give but rather the fabric just got scrubbed. But that zipper breaking is a big deal.

Serena's Contour jacket is real nice, personally I have had three FirstGear jackets and have been impressed with the quality and fit of each.

That's the jacket my girlfriend bought too. It was sized a bit small when she bought it originally at $80 (still a good price). She sent it back, got credit, then re-ordered at the new spectacular price. And she looks spectacular in it too. We've gone out a few times now together... at first in a parking lot, now on the road. I totally suggested that!  And even offered to take it again myself so she wouldn't be alone.  She's too worried about passing the test on a bike she can't handle because she doesn't like mine.  I did tell her that they have 250's and even a few 125's but she's more stubborn than me...we'll see though.

If she's into forums & such, let me know.  I have a few that I troll that are for women riders, she can come check them out & see all the women riding bikes of all shapes & sizes.

I took the class this year (I'm a little slow, and sometimes do things in reverse).  Those little 250's are a ton easier to handle than yours, I have no doubt she can do it.

Or... get her a little scooter to cruise around on to boost her confidence. :)

I bought one of these for my daughter last week. I had to return it for a bigger size. They seem to really run small. Nice jacket for the money though.
