Hey just got my new riding jacket today. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/39/13680/ITEM/Scorpion-Strike-Jacket.aspx  I did a lot of research and decided this fit my riding style and what I was looking for as far as looks.  When it arrived it is a little stiffer than I had expected, the plastic rubbery elbow and shoulder pads made the jacket tight.  Im 5'11" 165lbs so small build but decent height and I got a MED, I think a large would be much too big especially without the liner in.  Quality is top notch, nice waterproof zippers, sewn great, and overall fit is comfy when standing still.  I feel some lack of movement when I raise my arms high and feel the back come up.  This is my first jacket and as far as I know, they should fit pretty snug.  I only rode about a mile with my sister on the back to get beer so didnt get to test it out at speed and normal riding or going to class or the store situations.  Theres a lot of technology in the jacket, watch the video review or there is another one on sport bike track gear.  Waterproof, removable liner, back liner to wick moisture, foam back panel and armor in the shoulders and elbows, if it becomes a problem I may take out the elbow armor.  I bought the jacket for looks and its the same company that makes my helmet.  I think its a good mix of cruiser style and sport bike style, especially in black which is what I got.  So if your in the jacket market I think its worth checking out, ill report back after tomorrows cold morning ride and some wind and rain rides.

Elbow armor is a really good thing when the Earth brutally slams into you. BTDT

Personally I'm going to double the armor in all the armor pockets on my jacket and pants. The ground is always too hard during any fall down go boom scenario.

I took the liner out before I went to class today, it fits much looser, I will probably keep it out until I go on a longer ride other than my commute.  It was actually warm this morning high 50's and I was just fine with a t shirt under.  I just got back from work sweating balls, through the jacket on and took off and instantly cool and its high 70's right now.  I'll keep the elbow pads in I'll get use to them.

ya its got a back pad, probably quarter inch thick closed cell foam.  No plastic plates like some have.  The shoulder elbow and back pad are all made of the same stuff.

Just thought I would update seeing im sitting in class and bored.  Jacket has worked very well.  I finally put the liner in and it is tighter, but I got used to it, pretty comfy actually.  Still I wouldnt want to be throwing a football in the thing, range of motion is not huge.  Longest Ive rode in the rain is about 5 minutes which isnt much but I stayed dry obviously. I like the looks, good mix between cruiser and sport bike in appearance.

I got one of these jackets for Christmas, so far I really like it! Good fit and good weather protection.

Hope I don't get to try out the armor  wacko

JC, you're new here...I know Paso Robles...everytime I go up north to San Jose or SF I pass your town! Always wondered what's there to do? Farming? or is it a bit city with corporate jobs and such? Sorry for going off-topic...

Hmm....they like the 'small rural town' feeling around here...lots of ag around the area. Converting to grapes and wineries rapidly, though. We get some good shows at the Fair (late July), but there's not much big-city nightlife around here. San Luis Obispo offers more of a college-ey, party-down venue. It is a great area, though! In an hour or so, you can ride from mid-60* temps at the beaches, nice temperate climes in SLO, to toasty 100+ temps up here around Paso....your choice! I like it hot... hot
