I am changing the oil tomorrow and was looking at the filter on my 700s, there does not seem to be much room to take the filter out. Is there a secret or will it fit through one of the openings? Eyeballing it it seems that you will need to loosen up or even remove the header pipes, I hope not yikes. I did a search for oil filter and did not really find anything on changing the filter. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Use tin foil to make a spout/funnel between the pipes so that when you unscrew it you don't get oil on your pipes , I'm told the filter can come out on the right hand side between pipe #4 and the frame but I can't back that up , I changed mine yesterday but I already had the pipes off .

Thanks dodge,

I re-read the manual and saw that. I must have skipped over it the first time. I just went out looked again with filter in hand and found that you are correct there is going to be plenty of room. Thanks for the tip for keeping oil off the pipes.
