Adam Roby started the side game for those tags that you didn't win. Come on over and post them. Lets us all have the chance to see what shots you can get even if they didn't win the tag here. I hated taking off on a longer ride for a tag just to get home and find it was already posted. With the side game you still get "credit" for your shots. http://nighthawk-forums.com/index.php/topic,6177.0.html

I figured I still had a chance since it's only 1pm in most of America, but it wasn't meant to be I guess.
Didn't do a lot of riding today though, that's why it ended up being the Leeuwarden train station :) I picked up a new smaller and lighter tent than the one I had for my trip today (got the total luggage weight down to 15kg now, or approximately 30lbs), and spend most of the afternoon doing some preparations on the bike and checking and cleaning my camping gear since I haven't used it in 2 or 3 years. Still had to change the oil of the drive shaft, build a 12v power outlet on the bike, fasten the rear light (at least I thought, but it looked like it's meant to be a little loose) and tighten the steering bearings. Didn't even get to that last one, but I still have 2 more days before I leave. Almost set to go now :)

Nice bikes crappie! It seems like we starting to need a generic, obligatory picture thread. It can be a dumping ground for Fish's food and cows, my Dutch bicycles and any other peculiar requests people may have. I'll admit though, given some of the hppants threads lately I am sort of afraid to see what might be asked for.

Sorry for the thread-jack, but roughly this is it Fish: But I might cut it short and head back home straight through France from Monaco, if halve way it turns out it takes much longer than I think now. It's really hard do to an estimate of how long it'll take because I don't want to use any highways outside Holland. I do want to enjoy the ride and take my time instead of race through it.

Perhaps that is a good idea Burgi, that might help us a little to stay on topic in other threads, haha Not really getting the hppants reverence, but let me know if one of you decides to make one when I get back.

I'll admit though, given some of the hppants threads lately I am sort of afraid to see what might be asked for. The NHF brings out my creative side. OC, that looks like a dream ride. My daughter went to France last year and she was describing her memory of the terrain along your route. Looking forward to your ride reports.

I actually wish France wasn't in the way Pants, all I really want is to ride through the Spanish Pyrenees on my Nighthawk. France is a really large country to get through and I've seen it so many times before already. But so far the Hawk has put a big grin on my face every time I'm on it so it shouldn't be to bad Nice that your daughter still is able to describe parts of the country to you, did she travel on a bike as well?

Nope - on the train with my parents. It was her High School Graduation present. My kids spent grades K-8 in the French Immersion Program for school. All of their studies (except English) were taught in French. It was started as a way to preseve our French heritage in south Louisiana. So my kids (unlike their Dad) speak French fluently. My mother wanted to see her speak French to the French. She's a blessed kid - no doubt. Sorry for the

Country Clubs seem to be very discreet here. I knew I was passing golf courses but didn't realize they were the country club sort. Can you tell I don't play golf? So here is the club house of the Rolling Hills Country Club. You can't tell what it is..blah I also got the Palos Verdes Golf Club club house. It is a private club also, not "country" but they have a better building.

Next Tax your Bike and a bell/or clock tower. It could be in a church, municipal building, stand alone tower, etc. just as long as it has a bell or a clock and is tower.

No tower ??? Well how about we keep the bell/clock tower open or you can get your bike with a WORLDS LARGEST tourist trap item. They are all over the place example would be the worlds largest Ax or lagest rubber band ball. So you can get the clock tower thing OR the worlds largest. Lets get out there and ride.
