Has anyone tried to cross reference the oem honda #35 pilot jet with any aftermarket or original keihin part numbers ? One of my pilot jets has the screwdriver slot all the way busted off , the jet is still good and working but I'd like to replace it . I called sudco and they didn't know . Has anyone replaced theirs with some aftermarket pilot jets and have a part number for me ?  Honda sells them new at $18 a pop but if i can just find out what else uses them or what kind of pilot jet it is then I can get one much cheaper elsewhere . Or does anyone have a #35 jet laying around they wouldn't mind parting with ?

also any tricks for getting the old one out ? One whole side of the screwdriver slot is broken off and I don't want to mess with it until I have another one to go back into it since it still runs fine . I thought about hammering a very small screwdriver into the jet hole and then putting the carbs in the freezer , then hopefully turning it out , but I'm open to other ideas ....hopefully none involve a machine shop .

I do. Its even off of a US model with the cap still on it.

What cap are you talking about ? These carbs don't have capped off pilot jets , and the mixture screws are not under a blocked off plug either .

The pilot jets are the adjustable screws on the front of the carbs. The US models have caps on them so they can only be adjust so much.
That #35 jet you are referring to is the "slow jet"

the pilot(or slow jet) is inside the float bowl . The mixture screws are outside the bowl pointing down , on some bikes they cap the mixture screws off to keep people from adjusting them , but not on this 700 anyway , perhaps they changed the mixture screws in 85 and 86 but it would be physically impossible to cap off mine as they aren't recessed into anything . Either way I don't need the mixture screw I need the slow jet inside the float bowl , it's a #35 .

I've got one you can have. Plus, it would be a lot cheaper for me to ship you one from Maryland as opposed to gammer in Canada. PM me your shipping info and I'll get it in the mail.

Tdodge7...taken from the 84 service manual. Those mixture screws you are referring to, are the Pilot screws according to this manual. I have seen these referred to as mixture screws on the micro fiche too.

Well the screws control the pilot fuel/air mixture , you can call them pilot screws , or mixture screws , either way the pilot jet it's self is inside the float bowl , the screws just adjust for it . But Brittles is sending me one , so problem solved . Thanks again Brittles , and thanks for the offer as well gammer .
