One hitch - that part number in the picture is for the left side only!!!

Sooo now I have four brand new front left side blinker holders for two bikes.  Uggghhhhhhhhhh

If you run into a snag exchanging them, I'll buy one from you.

another update:  right side signal stalks should be here tomorrow, rear stalks should be here friday.

i went through Cycles R Us in Ohio... the guy i have been exchanging emails with there, Jon Overholt (parts@cyclesrus.net) has been extremely helpful, and has sourced the right side turn signal part number as well as the rear stalks for me from Dixie international.  i can't recommend using Cycles R Us enough!

TAS has done nothing for me but piss me off for two and a half months.

ride safely everyone!

i've got all my signals installed!  cycles r us really came through for me.  the rear stalks that came were the wrong ones, but jon sent me a suitable replacement.  i asked him to send me the stalks advertised for the cb650sc - and they worked just fine.

here are the dixie part numbers for the fronts:

left side:  20-2306
right side:  20-2307

this is the part number for the rear, from EMGO:

68-77902

i got all of these from cycles r us, for $11 each (shipping is another $8 or so for four pieces).

it was worth the homework and waiting.  you all should have a much easier time than i did getting the proper signals!

yeah the signal housings were... not in the best shape.  i scuffed 'em up and sprayed 'em with krylon bbq paint.  i think they came out pretty good... i also used stainless hardware on everything.  while i had all that time to wait on signal stalks, i really went to town.  i also cleaned up the bulb holders, reflectors, lenses, and repaired the wiring.  i got the specs, soldered up the proper length of wires, and shrink wrapped everything.

it feels good to have it done, and done right.

Reviving an old thread...

I just called TAS and ordered the front turn signal stems. $6.50 per stem and only $4 shipping to Canada. And I was able to pay with PayPal!

BTW, the guy told me he only had two more pairs left after shipping mine out.

I also ordered two signal stems from TAS.  I told them I wanted one front right and one front left.  Instead, I received bags with the correct part numbers, but both appear to be left.  Can anyone verify that the right is stamped with an R?  (They were also $6.50 each, $2 to ship to California)

I tried from TAS and got a month long run-around.  Not sure what was going on, but whatever it was it was not shipping the stems when the guy said he would.  I ordered four stems and four signals as well (he said he had them all right there...)

Weird -- I don't think it's a scam.   I think it's just piss-poor business.  Like someone said above, if the thing are on back order, say so.  I was told after a couple days that they were on the way but they never showed so I called maybe once a week.  Not that I was in a rush, but if the things are lost in transit I thought the guy on the other end would do something more than tell me "they are on the way" again and again.  Guy on the phone (Matthew) seemed really nice but he kept saying "here's what I'll do for ya, Tom" and never any follow through.  Finally just cancelled the order once it became clear that they had never shipped and he had been feeding me a line (for a reason I cannot fathom) for a month.  Waste of time.

I'll try the Cycles R US link posted above.  My 700S has four of those little arrow shaped things (can't really call them signals since they are so small).  They keep it legal but do squat as far as letting people know what you are doing, even at night.  During the day they might as well not even exist.

Don't want to drop 100 bucks on the four stems if I can avoid it, and I am going to use the K and S aftermarket signals.  I'll let you all know how it turns out.  If I can actualy find the aftermarket stems, I am gonna order some spares....

Just to update my purchase with TAS:
I ended up asking for a refund as they never shipped me anything. There was multiple emails and v/m's left and no answer. I finally got response when I sent a nasty email to everyone on their staff (family) and I know the owner was on that list too. I did get my money back, but no apology and nothing to indicate that they ever shipped anything.

Piss poor service indeed.

The "matthew" mentioned must be the same Matt I dealt with....  Sounds familiar, only I eventually got 3 parts for the price of 2.  2 lefts and one right.

Definitely something weird going on with TAS. All these stories sound all too familiar.
