Finally get to take my NH for a ride tomorrow. Have spent a lot of time working on it. When I got it it had been setting outside for a couple of years, sort of under a tarp. Had to displace a nest of mice, fortunately they had not eaten any of the wiring etc. Did have to replace the handlebars as the old ones looked pretty bad. This set came with a Shadow that I purchased for parts. Lots of metal polish and elbow grease cleaned up most of the brightwork. There is some heavy rust on the backside of the headers. Polishing compound and silicone wax helped the paint. Replaced the front and rear tires. The front spots came off of another bike I had. The mirrors are JC Whitney sale items. The saddlebags are from EBAY ($50.00). I made the brackets. Since I'm lazy and I'm not planning on selling it the mounts are permanent. It didn't have turn signals when I got it and since I couldn't find any I liked I put on these mini's that I got, also off EBAY, about $7.00, including shipping. This winter I'll do a complete teardown and clean and paint from the frame up. But in the meantime I'm going to enjoy it. Heading for Blue Ridge Mountains tomorrow! Will take part of the BRP and then hit some of the backroads in the area.

Just curious, how visible are those small blinkers going to be? Especially with the running lights on?

Good looking bike you have there. I could have used the driving lights a couple of weeks ago.

Nice bike Ken - too bad you are about 1 month too late to make the rally. Looking forward to seeing a few pictures of your upcoming ride.

Like I said, I'm basically a lazy guy. I made the brackets out of a piece of flat steel about 3 1/2" wide that I got from Lowes Building Center. They are welded to the hand holds. I first made a template out of cardboard to get all of the angles right and then cut the steel to match. I made spacers from a very high density plastic rod, about 1 1/4" in diameter to mount the bags to the plate. I bored a hole through the center and then cut the proper angles on each end. Not the best solution if your wanting to take the bags off. Due to family issue I wasn't able to take it out today. Hopefully tomorrow!
