First off a con rod knock will make itself known when you roll off the gas. Under acceleration it disappears because there is pressure on the rods. The low end knock may well be crank main bearings. I am unfamiliar with the internals of this motor but on cars and trucks it will show up this way. And the oil pressure will drop slightly when you give a little gas if the mains are bad. I'm sure other more experienced MC mechanics can give you more info.
Next I would change the oil pump. Metal particles is BAD news!
Finally: Borrow your cousins car until your bike is back on it's wheels...
