Fork seals were leaking on my brakes,  some brakleen and I'm good to go

Don't worry,  I'm gonna fix it soon,  just don't have time,  so at least this will keep the oil off the pads,  although I'm pretty sure the pads are screwed since the oil is probably soaked all the way through

You got that right.
Once the oil gets on the pads, its time to change 'em. Those pads will soak in the oil like a sponge and it never comes out.

Yup thats what i figured, although I could just take a torch to them and burn the oil out  ImaPoser ImaPoser

If the brakes are contaminated with fork oil, I would not even worry about a temp fix on the fork seal, I'd let the bike sit until I could replace the fork seals and brake pads, not worth the risk. Good luck.

Its only leaking on one side, and i only drive a few miles a day,  I know most accidents happen within a few miles of home, so thats not a good argument, but it still stops fine, and I check it after every ride, so I'm not worried,

Yea most accidents happen within 5 miles of the home.

That's why I moved 10 miles away.

I like the fix. I'll keep that in mind if something happens on the road.

Most accidents happen within 5 miles of home ....boy I have to agree with that ..
I thought the new loose rocks looked real nice on my driveway apron ...3 months latter , the groin muscle I pulled when my bike went down on it still hurts to remind me . coollaugh

Yea my parents have loose rocks at the end of their driveway,  so I usually just ride on the grass,  and for future reference on loose gravel when in doubt throttle out lol
