Now...what does this thing on the bike do?

I was sitting at a light waiting for it to turn green and I accidentally nudged the kill switch.  No prob, I simply restarted it.  But, this got me thinking, what would i have done if i were moving?  I thought that it it would be best trying to pop the clutch rather than pressing the start button.

So, from the experienced riders, what is one supposed to do if  riding and bump the kill switch?

sorry thats a smart a$$ reply.

But really without even pulling the clutch or anything just turn it back on. If the clutch happens to be pulled then let out the clutch and turn it back on. or visa versa.

don't let it wind up too much before pulling the clutch. As long as the engine is spinning it's dumping fuel in there. It will backfire like hell if you don't turn it back on right away. Hopefully you feel the switch through and can through it right back.

As usual Loki is right on the money with this one,  just flip the kill switch back on and pop the clutch.  The bike should start right up.  Don't be embarrased either, it's happened to everyone who has ridden at least once or twice.  smiler

Heh, just the other day I got on my NH at lunch and started off down the road. I forgot that I had the fuel line shut off and I made it a mile or so and my bike died...I geared it into neutral while it was rolling, switched the fuel to the ON position, turned on the choke and had it fired up again before it stopped rolling...away I went.
