OK all, I was going to put this in the ( Back road thread but it was a big'n so it needed it's own thread. Well the weather broke and was about 70 and sunny when I got home. I asked the wife if I could have a pass for some riding, she said bugger off, hell I still had my riding boot's on. I've been wanting to hit Hwy 9 and head North to Canada, many bikes do this this run on nice weekend days.. SO I took off and made my first stop over the Stillaguamish river on 9. Looking up which is East. North and South fork come together there and Man it's a good fishing spot for Salmon and Steal head. Next I take off and get stuck behind a logging truck. While fallowing in I pulled the camera out of the tank bag and snap a picture in gloves none the less Ever had to lean steer a motor cycle on the road It's not recamended. Next stop was on a 1 lane bridge over another little fishy water way, these dump into the Salt chuck. Ok I take off and head towards Lk. Cavanaugh and this is were the fun starts. I got to this straight away and stopped. Took the picture, put camera away and went balls out, 1st time on the hawk. I was @ 75 mph in a few blinks and ran that girl to about 8K before shifts Many twists with ups and down as the road meanders it's way in the hill's. I come to the lake and the speed drop's to 25 MPH, good think cuz the cage's I came upon thought there were the only ones on the road. About half way around I take a rest, took some pictures, then back off I roll. I haven't been up there in 20 years, felt good and a great day to do it as I now have a road bike.. Soon I find my way back to Hwy 9 and head North, I came to a little eatery that host's a all you can eat I think Wednesdays of shrimps. Man the bikes come from all over for this feast. About 2 more miles I turn around and fallow the road around the lake. Looking at the lake you can see how the road goes. Bloody Hell it was a FUN TIME Here is where I flipped out the high way pegs for a good try out and cruised back. Now I see traffic, poor stiffs must work till 4:00, haha.. Lot's of bikes now and all but 1 did the wave. I stopped down the street from home, gassed up and got a pack of Bud's.. I can't wait for the next trip.

Love the case of BUD on the rack, When I saw that picture - I thought of Loki. wonder why? It's hard to believe that you can see all of that in a 100 mile ride. Non-motorcyclists will never understand. Thanks for sharing.

Nice ride report. Glad the weather was nice. Thanks for sharing. One thing though, you should upload your images to http://photobucket.com/ create an account and upload the images there. Then you can link the images in the post. Then you can have text in between. It also lightens to workload on the forum server. Hondo has a how to guide here http://nighthawk-forums.com/index.php/topic,84.0.html

yes it's free. What I like most is that photobucket doesn't change the order or names of the files uploaded. They all go into the same directory (that you make). So you copy the path ".ww.photobucket......image.jpg" It would have the img and /img on each side. Then copy the link including the img tags and just change the last part "image.jpg" to the next image name you want to post.

Very nice report and some fine pics. Looks like you had an excellent mental therapy session. What's the location of the shrimp shack? It would be good to know in case I get up that way.
