On my way home yesterday my cousin called me and talked me into going for another bike ride. Had to twist my arm really good... (RRIIGGHHTT). Just had to find a destination as it was 6:15 before we left. We talked over a few places and decided to go to Greenfield to visit the Freedom Rock.
About to take off, cousin and father in the back round.

Gas stop already!?! I was pushin 126 miles at this point.

We stopped in Greenfield on a sunday, at about 7pm...small enough town..that nothing was open..and this shot looks a lot like the last ride...

Well after riding around this small town for about 10 min, and not finding anything open..we decided to head to the rock. It was a gorgeous sight, the sunset was hitting it and the pics cant even describe how it looks in person.
Here we are after just pulling up..well the bikes...

This is Freedom Rock, this rock started out as a marker to the entrance of a rock quarry. It slowly became a place where kids would graffiti random pictures and saying's on it. Ray "Bubba" Sorenson, after seeing Saving Private Ryan in 1999, was inspired to find a way to say thank you to those who had served our great country. He painted the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima and the words "Thank You Veterans for Our Freedom." Since then every memorial day he has painted a new mural on it as a thank you to the veterans. I have seen the rock a few different years, and it is a really cool site to behold. Most of that typed was off his website and here is a link, also at the site shows pictures of the prev years.

Here are the pictures from this years rock.

And to show the size, I am 6'1 and my cous is 6'3.

After viewing the rock we decided to head on and and get some supper so we headed to Stuart to find again..nothing open..so we drove around. We found a bar, decided to check it out and stopped in for a cold one. By cold one, I mean..cccooollddd one..to cold to hold onto..it was nice. After that we got over to McDonalds and had a quick supper and back home. Here we are cousin on phone lookin for a place to eat and decided to take a couple more random shots.

Left for home and got there about 10:30...was a gorgeous ride. Beautiful night.
