I still have the 1982 650 Nighthawk but my wife and outgrew that for 2 up riding. We took one trip to Lake Placid on it and she said "it's just too small".

Thank you!!!!   wings

I looked around and knew I wanted this bike as my friend let me ride his and I was hooked. Bought it from a local guy in July 2008 who took really nice care of it. Love it.

I would like to ride one of those to see what the ride is like compared to a Goldwing.

Looks nice. I'm sure your wife will be much happier riding 2 up on that.

I never tried the Wing but I sat one a 2008 model once and found the "cockpit" to be overwhelming and cramped.
Funny thing is the wife now rides the old 650 SC as she wanted her own bike..perfect.  banana

Maybe it's not too late to take the ST back if you're hankering for something else... naughty  It's a really nice, capable bike though.  I came very close to signing paperwork on one but I just couldn't stand the idea of a payment.

You'll have to bring the ST along for our next ride Paul...
Would love to see it up close.

Excellent choice, I had a 2001 myself back in '04.  Loved that bike and regretted selling it.  I was looking to replace it recent;y, but I wanted the ABS.  never could find one close enough, so I got the ST1300 instead.

I see yours has a what looks to be a Corbin seat on it?  How's it working for you.  Enjoy!

Hwy - the Connie is a great bike.  Just don't ride the ST:)

Yeah it's a Corbin for sure. I find the seat is a little stiff but the contour is very nice. If I was a little less "girth challenged" it might be better!

Do you prefer the ST1300 over the 1100?

It's a tough call between the 2.  I love the feel of the 1100; it was very calm and confident at speed.  The 1300 seems a little busier on the highway, but just as smooth.  The 13 is more powerful, it'll lost the front wheel easily.  The 13 has better brakes, even without ABS (I've ridden both), and the electric windshield is great.

Seatwise, one of my 1100s had the stock seat which was good, the other had a Corbin Rumble seat (with the flip up passenger back rest)  I liked bot, tho the Corbin seemed to give better support.  I have a Sargent seat on the 13 and love it.  Sargent has an upgrade they do to the stock 1100 seat that looks good, but I never tried it.

Had I found and 1100 ABS at a decent price, I'd have one now, but I found the 13 first, and I'm happy with it.
