ok, so today I started my bike ('72 honda cb175) and looked down.... there was gas pouring out of the left side carb's tube that comes out of the bottom of the bowl. I guess thats the overflow tube?  My buddy said i have to rebuild the carb all together, does anyone have any suggestions on what might be going on here?

I'm new to motorcycles but I would like to fix this myself if possible.

thanks for any input.

Same thing happened to me today on my cb 650. Try lightly tapping your carb bowl with a rubber mallet.
